Just something nice and simple after the lighthouse painting. It's on Arches paper 27.5X11. First light at Stonehenge on the Solstice. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

A nice impression of stone hinge. Question: What are the objects at the bottom in the foreground. Mysterious shapes. The sky looks great.

Hi Kathy,
The objects are people in dim morning reflected light. It may be hard to see that in this small a version of the painting. You can see it a lot better on my website at www.paintingsbyjim.com. The last watercolor page.

Nice sky! I usually just look at the pastel page but Stonehenge caught my eye. I might be going there tomorrow. We are catching a cruise that starts in Southampton and I'm going to try and get there. It is only about 45 min away from what I understand. Have you been there yourself?

Thanks Kathy,
No I have not been there. It would be nice to one day go there and witness this in person. Hope you had a
great time.

I love the amount of contrast. It really brings out how beautiful the sky is.
