I found this picture in the image library awhile back and forgot to keep track of who put it up. I apologize for not knowing the name of the person that put it up but I am very happy they did. This is an 11 X 14 watercolor on Strathmore 140lbs paper. I think it was called Lake Angel. Please let me know what you think of this painting. Thanks!

Jim, this is a very nice painting. I really like your treatment of the water and figure.
I think I would have cropped out the airborn Sea Gull. It pulls my eye away from the figure and out of the painting.
Again very nice work.

Excellent painting Jim, I like a lot of things about this one - the color of the sky. distant mountains, the angel, the water - all came out really well.

This is excellent Jim , really well done with great light and shadows ,but I agree with Greg that the flying seagull takes the eye out of the painting , other than that, very good job.

Thank You Pearl! Nice to see you around again.
You know I left the seagull in because I thought the left wing
would draw people back into the painting! Go figure!

Good to have time to pop in here again Jim thanks , it has been a very busy summer .

I can understand your reasoning for the top seagull , and when I actually look at that left wing it does draw the eye back . I would think it varies from person to person , for me the focus is the feet and tail of the bird , probably just my eyes and brain , he he he .
It is a great painting and I wouldn't touch it .
