Hello Everyone,

It's been awhile since I posted, but thought I'd share this one of a watercolor and ink that I did after a plein air session at the Thunderhawk Golf Course in Zion, IL.

I got some great photos of the wetlands and clusters of beautiful trees.  This one I did today off of one of the photos.

Greetings Deb, Good to see you back. Very nice watercolor. It felt like I was walking along that path while viewing it.

Lung Tom: Lung is Thai for "Uncle" the u is pronounced as a oo as in loose.

This is great, Deb! I love the colors. This makes me want to try using ink.
Ha! Lung Tom you are right! Just a few touches of paint to add dimension and you've got a peacock!

Nice work Deb,
The peacock is a bonus. I kept turning my head to look at the ink in the grass
along the path to. It almost looked like subliminal writing about going down the path or something.

All the best,
Jim

This is wonderful and pleasing to the eye Deb , I especially like that green tree and of course the peacock and I  think there is a dragon hiding in the grass on the left side of the path

Deb, i see all the "wonderful' imaginary animals also, but the best part is the use of colors (for me).

Thanks for all the great comments.  I have been trying to be a bit looser with my watercolors.  And of course using the ink just helps define some areas of the painting.  The trick is not over doing both.  I have a tendency to put way too much watercolor on and ruining a perfectly good painting.

Didn't see all those cool hidden animals in this one, but now I see what you all mean........that's the beauty of loose paint and letting the water just go where it wants and not messing with it too much.
