For a second portrait I think you did very well. I don't even try portraits. I like to paint very rapidly, finish a painting twenty minutes or less. |

This is a very promising portrait. It has a great many good elements. Do you know how to take off color to fix areas? Do you draw first? Suggest the nose is one sided. The shadow needs to be taken back to give a more balanced nose. Etch out a little light spot in each eye, to give life to her eyes. I think that's enough correction for a second portrait. Someday you may want to repaint this portrait, it promises to be a keeper, next time round. Kathy |

Thanks Tom, I know what you mean about finishing a painting quickly. Maybe you should keep one on the side that you plan to do slowly and see the results. Somehow the paintings look different the next day and you get more ideas....... I do my oils that way.
Thanks Kassie, for all your great comments and suggestions. I draw first, but somehow lose the lines when i paint dark colors. I do know how to take off color so i am going to take your suggestion and fix that. Also going to add that light spot.........I am still not disciplined enough to redo my work, so if you think of anything else to fix please let me know now. thanks again. |

Yes it did change. The way you fixed the nose, follow through on skin under the nose. Kathy |

HI, Priti,
Did your second image have the same file name as the first? If so you'll have to repost the first image with a different name. When two images have the same name, the first is overridden.

| Holly, you nailed the problem.......... both files have the same name. Thanks for figuring that out, it will be helpful in the future. |

Priti,
Glad I could solve the mystery. Do you still have the first image? If so, you can rename it and edit your first post by putting the original image (with a new name) back in.
