This is one I did for my daughter. She found this photo on the internet and fell in love with it. So of course dad has to paint it. It's on Strathmore watercolor paper 11 X 15 140lbs cold press. Please let me know what you think.

This is very nice. The water has a cold and magical feeling about it!

Jim,

Another nice painting.  When I was looking at it, I cut out the background (mountains and sky) and I liked it better.  The blues seem to be fighting with each other.  But the work on the animals are great.

Jim, this is a very nice painting. I love the reflection in the water and the way you painted the animal. i agree with Deb about the sky.

Thank you gtummino, Tom, Deb and Priti for your comments and critiques. The blues you mentioned Deb and Priti are setting up "tension" in the painting. It depicts the false sense of calm in the water around the wolf and the impending storm coming in over the hills. If it made you uncomfortable then it did its job. Like Rod Stewart said "Every picture tells a story".

All the best,
Jim
