I just finished this one. It's a watercolor painting of a California Quail. I did this from a photograph. It's on 11 X 14 Strathmore 140 lb cold press paper. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks!

All the best,
Jim

Jim,
You worked this one just right.  I love how you muted the back ground and really emphasized the bird.  Nice feather work on the head and back!!! Hard to do with watercolor.  Did you mask the white areas?

Thank you Deb!
I did not use mask on this one. I was just real
careful aroung the white areas and used white gouache liberally.

Wow, this one is beautiful. I love the colors and the way you positioned the quail's head.

Good work . These birds are beautiful and you have done an exceptional job of rendering this one . Good background contrast and I love  the expression in the birds eye.

Wow! (May I repeat what others have said?) Your colors, rendition, everything - well done.

Hi Art,
Thanks for your comments. Do you have any work up anywhere? I can't seem to find anything with your name on it.
