This is a watercolor I did when the kids were young. I did it Plein Air. Each child posed individually.

I love this painting!

Would you tell me, are the strokes of the darkest values one of the first strokes or last to the painting? Also, I am so impressed with the way incorporated the three together.

Hi tami, I put the darkest values at the last.Because in watercolor you build up from light.You can't go back lf it's too dark. Thanks for asking, Richard
