I wanted to paint something different. This was challenging for me, clear glass and shiny metal has always been out of my comfort zone. I've seen so many beautiful crystal, glass, reflective silver paintings that I really wanted to try it and to make this pyrex just as pretty!
I've included some details, hope they come out!
Thanks for looking and comments welcome of course!

I never would have thought of putting the glass and pot together. The composition is wonderful and the whole effect is balanced and beautiful. Kassie |

| This is very well done. I like the use of the little silver and copper measuring cup and the pyrex measuring cup. That reflective silver is really difficult..............I should know, I just threw one out (pastel) that I just couldn't manage to look like silver. But you did it so beautifully! |

| Pablo, I've concluded that there is no such thing as a subject you can't paint. You see things and successfully get them on paper. This is another one of your magnificent works. Incredible!!!! |

Glass and metals are out of your comfort zone?!?! Why? You paint them so well. They look very realistic. I think this painting is awesome!
I do have a question though, are there three glass measuring cups or am I seeing things? |

Just got back from vacation in the mountains. . . . . . Thanks everyone for your generous comments. Yes it's true, glass and metal make me nervous so I'm doing more of them. BecArt: nothing wrong with your eyes, those are three pyrex cups stacked together. Now that I look at it, there's not much definition between the three, I shoulda put water in them to make them more crystally. What was I thinking? ! Oh yeah, the silver cup is actually silver but it's reflecting the colors on the wall and the sky.
Thanks again! Now I've gotta get back to painting! |

| Excellent still life set up - the softness of the rose next to the reflective glass and the hard metal - very well painted also - i like that you carried the same color to the background as the in the metal, and specially liked the blue shadow in the front that invites the viewer into the painting. Did you set up the still life and paint it right away or did you photograph it and paint it later so the rose would look that fresh? |

| I think there is plenty of definition between the glass measuring cups at the top, its just at the bottom of them that they all blend into one, but I still think there really awesome and realistic. |

| Love the background and your use of fresh layers. The books I've read seem to think something leading out of a corner (like the shadow lower right) would lead the eye out of the picture. But that is a very small nit. I found myself wanting to look at this for ages!! |
