Hi, and thanks for taking a look. I really wanted to get the effect of the impala glowing in the light, but it is overworked, as usual. I wanted to try to interpret it instead in copying the ref photo, so I made the colors brighter. Any suggestions welcome.

Hi Joy K,
Nice work with the impala. The face looks very sweet. I like it!

Hi Joy!
Great work. Liked it very much. The impala is really glowing as you wanted.
Just one input on the light source. The highlights seem to suggest a very strong light coming in from the right side. Hence I would prefer the background towards the right side to be more lighter than the left side. You could think of darkening the left side using some wet in wet work to ensure there are no hard edges. The other aspect of the light source is that the underbelly highlight would be a little more muted than what it is.

Thanks for your input!! I thought of making the background darker on the left, also, but I have such a tendency to fiddle I got tired of playing with it. I looked at several photos of impalas and the belly area is quite light, but I realize I shouldn't be such a slave to the photo.
