| Hi, This is my first post and I would love to have your feedback. I'm new to this, so I'm not sure if I have the image at the right size. I painted this one a while ago and was inspired by a few different photos in a picture book of Italy. |

| I'm not sure why the picture would not attach. I got it down to 100kb, JPEG. Does anyone have a suggestion? |

Hi, gtummino,
Let us know exactly what happened when you tried to post an image, and we'll try to figure out the problem. One thing that might be causing you trouble is the name of your file. Make sure there are no spaces in the name--and avoid symbols like colons, periods (except for the dot before the "JPEG"), question marks, percent signs, plus signs and exclamation marks. In other words, stick to alphas and numbers.
Keep trying--you're not the first person to have a bit of trouble getting used to posting images. If you still have trouble, the best way to get hold of me is by emailing me at this address: artistsnetwork@fwpubs.com

 This is a good rendering of a difficult subject. You got the perspective and sense of depth well. A gondola would add more interest to the foreground. Some darks would really punch it up; this black and white shows your values are all very light to mid. |

Hi Joy K,
Thank you so much for taking a look at my painting and for your advice. I'm not sure why it is showing up in black and white. When I posted it on June 25th it was in full color! I hope it will get corrected so you can see the colors, I would love to know what you think of them. You are right about the light values. That is something I am working on, since I tend to work on the light side. I need to be more bold! Thanks again! |

| It wasn't posted in black and white ; I posted my response in black and white to show that the values were light. I don't know how that post got changed back to color. I was just doing that to illustrate the values to you. A lot of errors have been occurring here lately. I'll try to post it back in black and white again and see what happens. |

| I deleted the pic under my response and replaced it with a B/W version, but it still keeps showing it in color. Well you got my point, anyhoo. Good drawing!! |

| Oops, now I tried changing the file name to get is to show up just under my post in black and white and it changed all of the posts to the same. I don't know why it did that - I don't have that trouble with other forums. I'm sorry I messed up your post just trying to illustrate a point; please accept my apologies. I contacted the administrators so they could put it back to color. |

Sorry, I can change a color to black and white, but not vice versa. Gtummino, would you mind reposting your painting in color? Be sure to give it a new file name so it doesn't get confused with the B&W version.
