I need some advice.  I am working on a piece that was commissioned and the people have requested that I include their azalea bush in the background.  The first photo is of the completed dogs.

The second photo I photoshoped a background in of a azalea bush.  I don't know photoshop at all so it is not very good.  The dogs are bigger than it shows in the photo, I don't know how to make them bigger in photoshop.

I think the bush is to busy.  Please let me know what your thoughts are....

Hi, Jan,
I think if you keep the azalea bush as subdued as those pictured here on the right side of the pup with the red scarf, they'll look really nice. Then just make the pups a little more contrasty than shown here. It should work out well.

Hi Jan,
The colours of the bush is nice but I wouldnt put it in as background.
as a bush just use some of the colours and repeat the blue of the other dogs colour in there somewhere but thats me.

Gray the bush a lilttle more so the dogs can be appreciated. Also I would be tempted to treat the bush as wallpaper and add more of it to the left too. But again GRAY the bush so it fades away into that background.
By the way, the pups are great.

The dogs are wonderfully rendered, especially the fur. I agree with Retha about the background. You don't want anything to take attention away from those cuties. A representation BG would complement them well.

I agree with Kassie, If you subdue the colors in the background bush making it more of an "impression" of Azaleas, it will be very good. The pooches are great!

I agree about subduing (sp?) the background, the dogs are great and nothing should compete with them! Very, very good!
