I just finished this watercolor of Addison Ruth. Addison is the new daughter of Kim and Sean. I work with Kim and I told her I would do a painting for her when the baby was born. I thought they would give me a mother holding baby, father standing behind picture to work from, but they gave me one of them holding the baby's hands shortly after it was born. It was the favorite for both of them. Let me know how you think it came out. They haven't seen it yet.

Good job, Jim. I am sure any mom and dad would love it. It does make for a kind of odd composition, but when you are doing commissions, the client is the boss. If I were you, I might soften or maybe lighten the shadows around the baby and the parents' hands. But, maybe looking at the real painting, I might think not. It's a great gift for them.
