Hi Folk,

Here is the latest from my paint board. This is a collage of watercolor painting. Paint used is W&N on 140 lb. Arches cold pressed paper. I don’t know if this should be classed as mixed media, the layers are attached with Acrylic Matt Medium.

As always, your comments and crits are most welcome.

Regards,

Greg.

Wow Greg,
This is a very fascinating piece. Very well done, and I love the possible meanings here.
A future home for future birds? What was going through your head when you did it?

Jim, I am glad you like the picture. I think this is a result of a very long hard winter. We had a major ice storm in December, over 200,000 trees were damaged or destroyed and lots of habitat was lost. To be honest though, what was really going through my head while painting this was, “Lord, what do I do next”, I think you can tell from the previous versions that it was a wild ride.
Thanks for your kind remarks and thanks for looking.
Regards,
Greg.

Egon, thanks for your kind and encouraging words. To answer your question, I think this was the fifth version after the small 5 x 7 preliminary painting on Clayboard.  Thanks again.

Greg

Preliminary painting.
