I like the painting but am puzzled by the rectangular white object near the end of the downed log(?).

i'm doing the same thing ( learning from books!) but looking at the galleries and reading the C&c's has been quite helpful. Good luck, keep learning, and thanks for giving me a swift kick in the pants to drag out some of my books tonight after me drawing session@
