Subject: Sinhagad 2 - Fort Gate

Hi

This is one of the gates of the Sinhagad fort mentioned in my earlier post. The view is from the bottom when approaching the gate. The approach steps (hidden in the painting) are from the right hand side, indicated by the rocks leading to the gate.

Would liek to have your view and comments please. Thanks.

Where is the way ?
A way leading to the gate would make a better composition ;-)

The way is actually hidden in this view. The viewer is actually standing on the steps below and the steps go up winding from the right. I took this perspective to indicate that these forts were not easy to break into and there is a lot of rough terrain that needs to be conquered, before one can reach the gates. Hence the steps are not depicted directly, but indicated by the rocks that lead to the gate.
