Wow James...really nice. Has a little bit of a fantasy quality...but not so much it can't be reality. Came on this thread by mistake because I couldn't do watercolor if you tied me up and made me...so great job!

thanks for the compliment... I basically used a layering technique (repeated application of watercolor) to get the values I wanted. this is the only watercolor I've ever painted... so I just used the medium my way until it did what I wanted

the piece is 36x48in... art is all that I do but I'm new to painting and need a much larger body of work to be considered a professional I think. skill wise though.. I'm a pro
