Hi Duende Wonderful painting as usual! As Jim has mentioned, this one has a nice golden glow to it. Also liked the contrasting blue in a predominantly yellow orange subject. Sandeep |

D, I've been totally enjoying your work, Thank you for sharing it with us. I loved your website an blogpage. I enjoy painting in watercolor when I can get it to come out right, but most of the time I get frustrated. I've been working in soft pastels mostly this past year. I hope you will continue to post so we can enjoy them and learn from them. Thanks -- Happy New Year! |

Hi Jim, Sandeep, Mikey C, 1painter42, thanks for your comments. Yellow has been my most difficult color to work with, don't know why, and in the picture, the pot and background came out more blue than it really is. I like these flowers, they were fun to paint, I might try them again. I hope everyone is off to a great start painting away this year! I'm looking forward to this year being more creative than the last one! Thanks again for your encouraging words! D~ |

| I agree with you about yellow! such a wonderful color, but at first hard to learn. Using it with its compliment. blue is great and it sure does glow. I grew some squash and they had such beautiful blossoms. I didn't pick them, but did take photo's for the future and this paining makes be want to get at it. You are very inspiring and I love to see your work--sounds like you have a web-page. How do I get there? I love w/c and have done them for 8 years now. Its been so hard! but a great place to learn. I love it all. I have been doing pastels now, and am loving that. I also draw in graphite and am always working on my drawings. Good thing we have snow now, its all I want to do! Thanks for you art. |
