Hi,

This painting which I just completed was inspired by a trip to Mazatlan in March of this year. The hotel we stayed at had a second floor balcony and our room overlooked a wall covered in these beautiful climbing plants.

It is watercolor on arches 140 lb paper, size 10 x 14.

I would really like to have any comments or suggestions as I am fairly new to watercolor and love all of the support on this site.

I've also posted it on the travel painting site.

Thanks

Darlene

Hi Darlene
Nice painting. You could also think of adding a few shadows to the branches to add some more depth into the painting. I like the transparency very much.

Hi Darlene,
I agree re: more shadows on the branches! Nice work! Could you tell me where the "traveling site" is located? I'd like to see it. Thanks

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I will try and add some shadows as you suggested Sandeep.

Linda, I meant the contest site where we post paintings from recent travels, I have dyslexia and just couldn't remember what it was called. Sorry about that, but thanks for the comments.   Darlene
