Nicely done Egon! I like the view you painted.....with the cabins above you instead of at eye level. And I like the sharp contrast of the foreground cabin to the rest of the surroundings.

Nice job Egon.
You must be in pretty good shape to make a trek
like that and still have the energy to paint. I commend you.
Is the back building really on that much of an angle? It reminds
me of the House of Mystery in Oregon. It's suppose to be in the
middle of a magnetic vortex and it bends light so things are not what
they seem.

What is it....an old barn? Is it still in use? I can't believe it's still standing. I'd hate to be trying to eat soup in THERE! So how do you typically get commissions? Is it word of mouth or do people seek you out after seeing your work at art shows? Or do you advertise? I agree with Gene. You must LOVE having so many beautiful places to paint! You have inspired me to get out and explore NH. We have awesome landscape painting possiblities here too.....I keep forgetting that when I'm sitting here drooling over the European landscapes that I see posted on this site

Hi Jess - I dont know how old this cabin is - I looked into the window the stone walls (parts of the oven??) are brocken - maybe it was an avalange years ago .
This comission is a odd story . 2 years ago there was an auction in a castle - with militaryas (the prinz collectet Army stuff and passed away ) A chance for me meet the prinzess(the owner) to get permission to paint the castle ( a diffcult architecture) on location. Her conditions : She wants to see it - and than she sold it and 2 other pictures too.
I invited her to my last exhibition with the "shrines". - and there she asked me about their hounting lodge

What a nice storyl The painting of the castle are lovely, as well. Sounds like you could write a novel.......your beautiful setting is already there. Now, for a plot............Heather always has great stories that she sees in all of this lovely art! There would have to be some mystery involved, I think.......And all of your beautiful paintings could be included as illustrations Hmmm.easy for me to say, right? Thanks for posting the photo of the old building. It's a beautiful area that you are painting............Gene

I love those three castle paintings! Very nice work Egon! I like the view and color choices in the first one very much. I especially love how you painted the water in the second one.
