Hi folks - I am back from a 4 day trip to Italy

I was in Abano Spa - beautifull weather ( the vegitation there is about 7 weeks ahead) did only 2 paintings, one  the Campanille in Abano and the Basilika of Saint Anthony in Padova with the tomb of the Saint ( so many culture around and sooo few time )

The Campanille ( 1/3 basement romanic + 2/3 gothic ) + church of Abano (baroque)

This is Baisilca di Santa Giustina - the place withe the monuments  is called Prato

I painted Saint Anthony - in Padua

its only 25miles from Venice - It worth to see

I did both of them plain air

- sorry the lower part was hidden from parking cars

It looks like a beautiful place. I always wanted to go to Italy but I don't like to fly that is why I have never been there. I love to look at pictures of Europe. Your paintings are very nice.

Thank you friends - its a little easier for me - was a 6 hour ride by bus
@ Heather - the sun reflection from the tower to the churchwall
( did both in the middle of the crowds )

Hi Egon...

I really like both of these. Sometimes I wish that I lived in Europe, just to have access to all that beautiful architecture and gorgeous scenery!! The top painting is really pretty....I like the detail work on the tower. The second painting looks unfinished to me. I think it looks awesome now.....but all the detail that is already there, makes me want to see what's at the bottom. Nice work! Hope you and your wife enjoyed your vacation

This is also Padua  only 25  miles from Venice

only few tourists , no pigeonshit on yout clothes , no rip - off  , friendly people
