Part of a new series after a visit to Venice. Everywhere I turn, there is a painting to be made. A great place to visit as an artist.

What a wonderful emotion in your paintings.... I love that most about painting! Not that your execution isn't just as wonderful But technique can be perfect and still not make you "feel" anything... not the case here!

Wow, these are beautiful. I particularly love the first one. Is this your studio we are getting a look at? I like the way you handled the light coming into the room. Thanks for sharing these. Gene

I agree - but its not only Venice - in this region are so many old citys
- one more beautifull than the other one -
some of tham not so expensive not so many crowds

on Thursday I am going to Abano Spa  with my wife - its in this region
if the weather is fine I will paint here ( only 4 days)

Thank you, Gene, for the comments. No, that is not my studio. I was on vacation in Italy at the time. It's from a photo I took in Venice one night while strolling along a passageway. I saw a light through the window inside this old frame shop and thought it would make an excellent scene to capture.  Ray
