Had some time on vacation at Lake Powell to do some painting "Here comes the sun" on Wallis paper, Lake Powell, Arizona. I liked this painting, no one else was very impressed Nude on cardboard with pencil, charcol pencil and pastel (the cardboard in the Wallis paper pad) Thinking about making the right arm longer. Sandi can probably tell me. Thanks for your comments!

These pastel works are very nice, I like them. The colors are impressive. Wish the head was not cut in half Very nice works.--- Suna.

I like them both. The right arm on the nude seems a little short compared to the rest of the body and compared to what you can see of the other arm. The colors in the landscape are great!

All the best,
Jim

Kathy,
Very nice, I like both. For the figure, right arm is just a little bit shorter, it dosen't matter. One thing you can improve is make lines more smoothly, now has a 'hard' feeling because the lines connection parts all have a corner(not sure you understand what I mean? if not, whoever understand can help explain, sorry for my English). If you make it round, will look better on women figure. I like the composition, cut off upper head make it a contemporary feel. For the landscape, color and value are all right. Good job.

The figure pastel is a classy piece of work and very striking, I think. Can easily see it on display. The back of the girl is so realistic. Well done.
