I was working on this pastel the last weekend, about 20 x 30. I am using la carte paper again, try to get use to it as it holds color better. It's not done yet, just cover the whole picture. These kids were in the dressing room of a dance show, waiting for their performance. Because many figures, I may confused. I post it here to get advices.  Anything you see wrong or uncomfortable, please point it out. Also help me to title it. Thanks.

Your artwork as usual is well done, but this seems a bit busy. The composition I think should be simplified. The lower grouping of children would make an excellnt painting by itself. The tension of waiting to perform is picked up very well in this grouping.

All the best,
Jim

Thank you, Jim, I'll see what I can do to push the background figures way back and detail the front figures.

This is going to be wonderful and I agree with Jim that just the foreground group would be a good composition in itself .
Also his words " waiting to perform " would make a good title.
