Hi Lynne,  This is a very challenging perspective!  You have carried it off very well. I would suggest you make the rocks at the bottom of the path lighter so they recede to give the perspective a chance.  For me I would like to see more vibrant color but that is perhaps my own area to work on.  And I think you might want to rework some of the values...the left side of the hiker's shirt and shorts should be darker I think.

Hope my comments are helpful.  This is very well executed.

Hi Barbara.Thank you very much!!!!This one was a tussle. It was my first pastel after a long break in painting. The perspective drove me crazy and I wanted to get the feeling of the figure being at the highest point with the waters swirling below.I had it at a show where some viewers thought it was sky(cringe).

Boy I wish i had found this site when i was actually working on this.I would rework those rocks in a heartbeat and the shorts. But its framed and sealed up pretty snug. But thats ok because its actually me in the picture and hanging in my home reminding me of a wonderfull time in maine.

I was worried it was too vibrant !!!!lol.maybe the next one I will go for the vibrancy....i.e. the lighthouse. thank you lynne
