Alert
I'm changing my palette in figure studies to focus more on pushing my grey skin tones. I'm also using a surface that I really, really love. The colourfix pastel fine-grain pastel boards. They take a lot of pastel, like most sanded paper, but they don't chew up your pastels like larger grained sanded paper and they allow for more blending. Great surface.
Since this photo, I corrected the drafting somewhat, slightly larger head and raised her right breast slightly, but not very noticeably. I am always challenged to accurately capture a pastel with a camera. Colors are not as subtle despite changes to aperture and adjustment in photoshop to match the painting. Oh well, the struggle continues.
Critique welcome. Thanks.
