Hi!

did this from a ref.photo from image library on Wet canvas. I am in a class, and trying to learn how to paint portrait , using soft pastel.

Rembrandt pastels on Ingres paper.

18,5 x 19 cm.

If you hadn't said anything, I would have thought you were teaching the class. This looks to me to be very well done. I like the hair and the character of her face by the lines and shadows you've done. She's pleasing to look at.

Boy, am I embarrassed! No, by all means you didn't do anything wrong, and I hope you didn't take it personally. It looks like there's an earring (not that that means anything these days), but now that I'm looking closer, I can barely see some facial hair under the nose. Regardless of the gender, this is still a beautiful person.
