It takes a lot of self-confidence to do a portrait with three people in it. I would be afraid that I would get a good likeness for one or two of them and really mess up on other one or two.
The background on the upper part of the painting looks unfinished to me.
Otherwise, I think you have done a very nice painting. I'm sure the parents (or grandparents) were happy with it.
