Hi Mike,

You did a really good work on this one.
The only nitpick (sp?) is that the "Apple Acres" logo that I suppose is attached to the plank leaning against the car, seems to be a bit upfront, almost touching the broken tree at the front.
What say you ?

Kind regards,

José

I have to agree with you, Jose'. I'll have to either push the sign back or bring the stump forward.
Thank you!
Mike

Very nice! Looks like a lot of work went into this one. I like the contrast of the yellow truck and the red apples. Also, that tree on the right is really well done. I have issues with trees. You do such good work on the lighting on vehicles. I made some mental notes in case I attempt one. Again, nice job! jjj

When I see your name in the "started by" column, I know we're all in for a treat. No exception with this one either. You hooked me with the beautiful blue-violet sky next to the yellow truck.
How did you get such fine detail? My color stick is like a conte crayon shape. Do you have something more like a pencil that you sharpen?

Jay thank you, and yes there is a lot of work in this one. I can't wait to see your attempt at some vehicles! They are a lot fun and very interesting to do...go for it!!!

Thank you also, Kim! The Prismacolor stix are long square stix that have sharp corners on them. If I use one to where it becomes dull, I just break it and then there are two new sharp ends available to use. If you don't want to break your stix you can always sharpen then on sand paper or aluminum/metal window screen stretched over a can.
I do also use Carbothello pastel pencils, but i didn't use any on this particular piece....

Break them stix and happy painting!

I have to say that I love all your paintings with old cars and trucks in them, and this is no exception.
