Did this for a monthly project at WetCanvas. Has it's flaws, but I'm okay with it. Hadn't done anything for a couple of months, so it was good to get back to my art.

Thank you, Mike. I've gotten some pretty decent comments on this, so I guess it's not as bad as I thought!

Hmmmm, I don't know that there is such a thing as a 'bad' artist, but your work has always been a pleasure to view, at least for me....please keep posting! Mike |

Christine, This is very good. One of my weakest studies is still life and portraits. It's so hard to get the right curves and shadows. Great job! Deb

Thanks, Deb. I struggled with the elipses on this tremendously, until I finally let them win! Seems like every time I fixed something, another area was off. But anyway, thanks for looking!

This is such an appealing painting, the colors, shapes, composition , it all works together very well. I have visited it several times and it seem as if something [so tine I could not pinpoint it] is distracting me from seeing the lovely shape of the pitcher, especially the lovely curve of the spout. Today I got it. I tried a little experiment that I use for myself and for others if I am helping them with a painting. You might want to try it also. Look up at the painting and place the tip of your finger over the spot where the spout joins the very dark shadow on the pitcher. To me, the softer shadow on the pot allows the little spout to really come forward in the painting, so I dont see the shadow first. See what you think. Any way, not a big deal. . Love your work. please keep posting. Anneta
