I like how you did the wisps of hair at the nape of her neck. How'd you do that?
One thing that struck me right off the bat was her left eye has long lashes and the right one so short they are not seen. Perhaps a hint of lashes may be added to match the other eye.

I find it hard to believe , this is your first pastel portrait , surely you must have done portraits many tines before ,perhaps in oils ? Its very good , I've painted pastels for many years and still find portraits very challenging  , keep it up.
