This is the second close up of a grizzly that I've done. I would like constructive thoughts because I want to do a larger one eventually. This painting is pastel on mi tientes paper.

Thanks Mike. I was thinking of going back and putting slobber around the mouth.

Very niced, and the "slobber" might add to the effect. Also, I don't think the picture gains much from the space on the left and, to some extent, on the right of the actual face. Have you thought of turning the head on the paper and making it an extreme close-up of just the face, sort of like this:
