Very nice. I particularly like the horse. I do think you should darken the background just above the horse's nose. I can't quite differentiate the horse from the background in that spot. Maybe it's just the photo, though. I know they don't always look like they do in real life. Thanks for sharing.

Welcome! Your work is beautiful. I especially like the horse. How do you like working on velour paper? You do a fantastic job. I tried it once and didn't like it. And then when I tapped it to get rid of the excess, well it pretty much got rid of the whole painting, LOL.

Hi Michele.

I love to work on velour paper.

It is mutch better then other paper, the pastel stays where you put it.

On ingrespaper it "fall of"(I do not cnow the english word).

try to blow on the picture, gently;insted of tapping it.

Then the pastel wil stay on the paper..

Welcome to the forum!

Very nice, Mette! I've tried velour paper before and find it very difficult, but by seeing these pieces, I can tell that you have mastered it!!!!

Very nice painting, Mette. I used velour paper just once, and got a very "old master's" type of painting. I really liked it. I thought the pastel stayed on very well, but maybe it was the type of velour paper that I used. Mine was actually a mat board done with a velour covering on it. I like your horse painting a lot.
