This is my latest pastel finished last week. 12 x 18 on Wallis archival paper. It was painted off a photograph courtesy of a penpal on Turkey.  I hope I got the photo right this time so you can actually see it.. Christine

This has a lovely feeling, like you can feel the warm breeze on your face
I like that it has a lot of texture in the leaves, tree bark and grass with flowers.

Very pretty! Well done painting, as far as I can see. I love the white flowers going all the way back into the field. And I agree with Justine about the texture. Great.

Thanks everyone. I posted this on WC to see what their comments were and some felt it leaned to right too much.. Does anyone else feel that?

I only have two words for this one....Love it!
Leaning? If a gentle slope is leaning...Okay.

I looked for it on wc, but I must be missing it (don't send me to find Waldo, the needle in the haystack or 4-leaf clovers, I can't find nothing). There are so many posts there it can be too overwhelming for me.
Maybe "the lean" is a touch of vertigo on their part? I thought it looked like it was a slight hill, if they were apple trees, it would look like the apple orchards in western virginia on the rolling foothills of the blueridge (the world is not flat) I think its a lovely painting, and if it were very straight and horizontal it might be less interesting.
