Hello! I really struggled with the pose of this piece, I have changed it from the

I love the looseness of this piece. And it almost has a geometrical look to your strokes, especially in the bottom area. Something looks a bit off on her face. I almost feel like the area directly under her nose is drawn wrong. It seems like her space between her nose right there wouldn't be quite so wide, or out to the right as you have it. Of course, I don't know for sure. I really love the pose, with her kind of snuggled behind the collar of her coat. Why the title.......Breakfast at Tiffany's? I wasn't sure what you meant by that. I think her hair looks great, also.

Love it, as I do all of your work i have seen. Your style is amazing. Maybe a different title, tho. Thanks.

Thanks for your comments Gene, I think you are right regarding the area under the nose...the edge is too lost there I think it needs more defining so it doesn't look off...
Thanks for your kind comments Ida, I use the title Dinner at Tiffany's because first off I didn't want to playgerize (sp?) breakfast at tiffany's but i wanted her character to seem similar to Miss Hepburn's character in the move....and she is going out to dinner ......
thanks guys!! appreciate the input!!

I'm just in love with this style! If I knew
where to start, I'd try it. Keep putting out
quality like this and you are going places.

Hi Alicia,

This is beautiful. I just love your style. Let's see, what feeling or story does this tell me - she looks sneaky or like she's hiding something. Or that she is just a mysterious woman. I think this is very nicely done. As you said above, her face below her nose needs a little more defining. That's the only thing that stops my eye, otherwise I think you've got a fantastic painting.

Okay, this might be too much of a male's point of view here, but this is what I'm getting from this...
I'm getting the feeling of seduction, sexiness and a little bit of playfullness. The colros are suggesting romanticism (is that a word?) to me and the way that she is holding her coat up to her cheek suggests 'playful and sexy' to me. I know, I know, only a guy would think this way, but you asked. ;-)
Anyway, I absolutely love you work! I agree with Jim. If I knew where to start I would try it. I just don't think I could loosen up enough for this style.
BEAUTIFUL!

I totally agree with Mike on the feeling of "sexy" in this painting. My take on it...She is pulling her coat up around her face as she steps out of an expensive restaurant on a cool winter night. I totally love the title and think it fits right in with the mood! You go girl!!

Dinner at Tiffiany's?? I think she is plotting a piece of expensive jewelry for "dessert" as she enters a very fine restaurant to meet the man of the hour! Great titles are critical for seducing the viewer. I like the simplicity of the subject matter (not too many distracting gidgets and gadgets in this scene) while the complexity of your strokes is what engages the eye as the "detail".... I will watch your work.

I get the feeling that she is quite engaged in what she is looking at. She seems to be shielding herself from what she is looking at, maybe proctecting herself. I also get the feeling of wind but that may be from your artistic style. Your style is unique and amazing, very thought provoking!

Your work with pastels is classic and full of life. I can only wish to see more of this style. Your painting style is the best for this medium. It is to pastels what the Masters were to oils. I can feel these works, the passion, the heart and soul that is painted into these.

Alicia,

Love the technique; it makes for a very lush look and feel. What was the size, support and pastel used? Thanks for sharing this wonderful piece with us.
