I repainted the previous wolf that I put in the forum earlier on a larger, 12 x 18 sheet of Cranson paper. I did my own thing with the snow and trees. I took the adivce of the forum to not get to detailed on the trees and background.  I tried to make it look like drifts of fresh snow he's running through. It was tough to try to paint the same thing twice and make it come out the same way as my practice one. Hopfully I accomplished the task. jjj

this is nice. The snow is very good and the shadows of the snow are well done. To me, only his face could be improed upon although this is good. It must be hard to get good wolf refreneces. Have you seen the ones painted by That Harrison lady? She has a book out that is really great for informations and to see her work is amazing. You are on your way! Love the background around the wolf and his hair, and running figure.

Thank you for the reply. I haven't seen the Harrison artwork, but I will look her up. I did have to look at a few different photo's to get an idea of  what to do with the head. I liked the action of the wolf running and could see the body of the photo well. I did spend a lot of time on the background. I didn't look at anything for that. Just let it flow! Thanks again. jjj
