Here is another attempt with fish. It was a challenge to try to get the rocks to look like they are barely under water, hope you will be able to see it since it's a photograph. The size is 12x16. The log that the fish are hanging from took longer to do than the whole rest of the picture. jjj

Wow! Jay, this is nice! The trout and log are done extremely well. I like the way you capture the light of the day, the texture of the wood and especially the 'wet look' of the fish!!!! VERY NICE!
(BTW, I love that you put the tail of the closest fish IN the water. Adds interest to the piece!)
If it were mine, the only thing I would change would be the background. i would either take the water all the way up, or blur the trees and shrubs that line the creeks edge...just my thoughts.
Man, I use to love stream fishing for browns, brookies and rainbows. This brings back some very good memories, thanks Jay!

Thanks Mike. I will be going to Canada again this year to catch 15 to 22 inch BROOK trout on a special small lake we found. It's beautiful. I will take my camera for some pictures of the area now that I'm doing some art work. I'm working on making some backgrounds more "blurry". I'm almost finished with the running wolf picture and put some trees in. I put that one in later. Thanks again. jjj

Thanks Josi. I think I'll do more of these fish pictures. I like picking a photo and using my imagination for the background. This photo had the fish and the log, but I had to come up with the rest myself. I get good information from this forum on how to do things better and I see a couple of things I could have done different. It still is one of my favorites so far. I think It's because I love fishing so much and I want to be there. Thanks again. jjj
