Thanks so much Mike--You are really nice to comment that way. I was wondering about the background, the upper right side? don't have to be anything there, but does it fade away right? I try to work the background and the foreground at the same time so it will be together but maybe not enough thought here. But thanks for what you said. |

Hmmmm, to be honest with i didn't notice the background until you mentioned it. My focus was on the horse and rider. So, after looking at it, my thought would be to fade it a bit more so that there is a more even transition. Or, maybe bring the blue down on the right as it is on the left, leaving the light area in the upper right as it is...I really like the way you brought the two areas together on the left. BTW Ida, the action in this piece is right on, in my opinion! I REALLY like this one! Mike |

| Ida, I see the action, too! (Makes me want to hold my breath to see if the barrel is going to be knocked over.) A lot went into this and you pulled it off well. I didn't notice the background either and I'm thinking that's a good thing - makes you focus on the horse and rider (my opinion, of course). |

I didn't notice the background either. My eyes went straight to the action & the subject. Beautiful work & you caught the action all right!

| Ida, I didn't notice the righthand background until you mentioned it. I think the picture is very powerful and filled with action. |

Hi Ida,
This is beautiful - the colors, action, harmony, everything. BTW, I love what you did with the background and the top right which you mention above. It adds interest to an already exciting picture and also helps the eye move around.

| This is great. I agree with the others, leave it as it is, put a mat around it, and frame it. It is really nice. Gene |
