This is a small pastel about 9 x 12, done with NuPastels and Great American Artworks soft pastels.  This small pile of wood lies near a path leading to the local park where I walk.   I liked the way the morning sun was shining in amongt the wild shrubs, etc.  ........... Scroll down a bit to see the posting.   Jim did this for me after my four unsuccessful attempts.  Tha;nks, Jim.

It was worth the wait, Gene!
Love the use of light in this one also.

Thanks, Jim, for posting this for me. I appreciate that so much, and thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you like it.

Mike.......Thank you also. It was the light that attracted me to these logs. I have walked past this pile of logs in the park where I walk for so long. Finally decided to get the painting done that was in my head. The painting is now hanging in a show in a gallery.

Thanks, Justine, and 357 Lady. Thanks to Jim who posted it for me. I was very attracted to the simplicity of the subject and to the light that I saw almost every morning when I walked for a few years. Finally got to painting it. I'm glad you like it. Gene

Thanks so much, Alicia. I really appreciate this comment, because I had to take several photos to get the composition I wanted. Then, I still cropped it a bit.
