Wow, I love this one!  I'm the mother of a 2 year old little boy who's growing too quickly, and a 9 year old little boy who's days of holding his mama's hand are (sadly) long gone.  There is a lot of emotion for me in this painting.  Thanks so much for sharing!

Love the touch of yellow! I know what you mean about wanting to make changes. If possible I like to let paintings 'age' a bit, gettting them out of sight for a while. The next time I look at them, all the weak spots usually pop out. Sometimes I cringe when I see pieces done years ago. I want to snatch them out of their frames and correct things I wasn't even aware of when it was painted. But then again, it is nice to know I have progressed to the point that I am able recognize the weak spots in older works.
