Yes, I'd add a WOW, too. You've done an excellent job on the pastel work. My advice would be to work on your drawing more before adding color. The head looks a little off perspective/size. I'm notorious for jumping into color ASAP because I can't wait to bring the drawing to life. See my cat painting (Window View) for all of the renditions I went through in color before getting the sizing correct. If I had done a better job on the drawing first it would have saved a lot of time.
Yes, upside down is a great idea. Another trick is to have your painting upright, hold a mirror, turn your back to the painting and view it in the mirror for a different perspective and to see things you might not see looking directly.
