to go with my Blue Boy - after Gainsborough i did this one ... paintings by two different artists but so often thought of as a pair ... in fact, the originals are together ... on opposite walls facing each other in the main gallery of Huntington Gallery ... originals were painted with oils i presume whereas i have done mine primarily with panpastels and a few pastel pencils (carbothellos and derwents) for some detail work ... thanks for looking ... c&c always welcomed ...

Wow, you're good. I've never tried copying a master's work, but it seems like a smart thing to try. I bet it's very inspiring.

thank you very much gene and michele !! ... it really was fun copying a master's painting ... i kinda want to do more too but we'll see ... i've many of my own photos to work from too ... so much to paint ... so little time ... lol
