I see you are a Monet fan I looked at your last post and saw that you wanted comment on style rather than technique. From the 3 pix here and the 2 on the other post.....I would say that painting of the bassett hound and the middle pic here of the man are similar in style. In all your paintings, I like the softenss of the colors in your backgrounds.......very pleasing to look at. The last painting here is a little confusing to me. If the plants in the foreground are in sharper view (and with a much deeper green)....I would expect to see the bridge in sharper detail. It's almost like you started in that bottom left with one style and then changed your mind with the rest of the picture. My personal preference.....I really like the bottom left and would love to see you build up the rest of the painting with that intense color.

Thanks - good point. The other paintings are different in style because the last painting was a copy of a Monet for my sister. The others were originals. So that might have had me lose overal uniformity as I was busy trying to copy what I see. Although I did not try to have a relaxing appeal in my paintings, others have noted this too. I think it comes about because I am using soft finger painting with pastels instead of hatching. Thanks again.
