The painting was completed in early spring during the first run-off of the season from Whitman Creek which is a couple of miles from the cabin.  Spring Run-Off  (2004) was another painting that took some time to complete in between my busy work schedule.  There was much greater detail in the waterfall and deeper variety of colors in the pool of water before the next set of rapids.  Just realized that my paintings do get dark as a result of the lack of sun light up here in Alaska during the winter months.  (If the hyperlink doesn't work let me know.)

Hi Fisher4....nice group of pastels. I was looking at the dates on your paintings and defnitely noticed your artistic growth over the last few years. For me, I think that the cabin is your strongest painting..... Stronger composition and detail work. Thanks for sharing them

Thank you both for your comments.  Currently working on a larger drawing that I hope to have completed by the end of July for the local art show in August.  Was very excited to start and complete the painting of the cabin as it was a larger painting than the others.  I use Arches watercolor paper and use a combination of pastels everything from Unison, NuPastels, Art Spectrum, and Rembrandt.
