Not pleased with the photograph of this painting of Danger Islands (2005), its way to dark and doesn't do it justice.  Still I thought I would post a link to it as I enjoyed completing this pastel painting.  Took a color photo of the islands across the narrows.  To get a gray scale value of the photo I had to scan it as black & white.  Its much easier to make color choices when the values are already made through the scan.  I would ususally spend time making several pencil sketches on site but got chased off by a rain storm.  Again if the hyperlink to the painting doesn't work let me know.
