These kittens are cute Heather - the last one, the fur is really well done.

Heather, you do great kittens and cats. I don't see how you can paint them so realistically, so small.

I think my favorite is the first one.
Your eyes are just great. How you get the detail
in so small a painting is...well, amazing.

Thank you all for the lovely comments. The other miniature artists ask me the same thing "how do you get such detail". I tell them for the details use VERY sharp pencils after a very light fixative spray. My pencil sharpener is very well fed. I ended up buying a heavy duty one that doesn't break the pastel pencils and gives a sharp point. Also fur is done with hard pastels for underpainting and then the really soft pastels for finish and I lightly spray them for shipping. I use only Wallis or ArtSpectrum for these because the paper can handle the layers. |

Hi Heather.....cute kitties! I think my favorite is the second one. He looks so relaxed. I really like his eyes and the definition of the fur.
