This is a portrait of my American Eskimo, Beauty. She passed away at 15 last year and doing this portrait helped me get through the grieving process. She was the sweetest, happiest dog  I ever knew...

Nina, I love this one! She looks like she is talking to you - - and I'm sure she still does, every single day. Isn't it grand how they never really leave us?! What a wonderful tribute to one of the most devoted friends you will ever know.

Thank you, Kim. I only worked from my memory of her and how I wanted to remember her. The paw print isn't on the actual portrait....I just watermarked it over my signature. I find the act of creating art the most therapeutic thing one can do.....
