I put portrait in quotes because you can't see my daughter's face! I usually do landscapes or botanicals/florals, and have been using oil pastels for awhile, but have been afraid of doing a portrait -- it's so easy for it to look not quite right if something is just a little off. Any critiques and feedback are welcome. Thanks!

Hi Jennster,
I'm not a painter in oil pastels, but this is one of the best I've
seen on this forum. It seems that you have put a lot of effort
into blending if that's the right term in oil pastels. Blending is easy
in regular pastels, but it seems it would be a lot harder in this medium.
Blending or layering, whatever it is you do, you've done it very well.

This is great! It's a good idea, if you are afraid of getting a portrait that doesn't look quite like the person. This definitely looks like the model, I'll bet! Gene
