Well, thrid time is a charm. It was easier doing the picture than putting it on this web site. Please let me know what you think of the painting, this is my first attempt at oil pastel. I was inspired by what I saw here.

Patti...this is not a medium I am familier with...but you are doing some nice things here! I especially like the rock in the foreground. With practice you may find new ways to imply waves splasing...not easy I'm sure...you might try a book writen by someone who uses your medium...I've learned a lot from 'how to' art books in my favorite medium. I don't always have time to learn all they are teaching...but can pick out one or two 'tricks' from a more experienced artist and use them...like a change of brushes or whatever!
