Hi Anna, Thank you very much for the photos of the palm trees! I should have used a reference source other than my head on these. I see how I can better highlight and shape them now. Thanks for the encouragement for SS too. Frank, thanks and I will! Shana, I'm going to use Anna's photo's for reference and punch up the trees. Thanks! Jim

Anna, I too, appreciate the photos of the palms. Living near Santa Fe, I don't get to see them, so this was a good lesson fo me. Jim, good look on your show; I think you'll do well. |

Hi Heather, Retha and Kim, Thanks for the encouragement. I think I'm going to do some smaller stuff for a people with a desire to buy my work, but that may not have the money. I think I'll try some oil paintings on 8 X 10 boards using a pallette knife. I've tried some landscapes using this method that seemed to garner some interest from friends and family anyway. I just want to have something in the $25.00 to $30.00 price range. Attached you'll see an example of what I'm talking about.

Jim, Great palette knife work. If you are selling them in the $25-30 price range they would be crazy not to buy them! Let us know how you enjoyed the show. |

Hi Jim, I went to your web site and enjoyed viewing your work. Your paintings are beautiful. Again, I wish you the best for your show. Heather is right. People would be crazy not to buy your work with the palette knife for 25 to 30 dollars. Leon

Very nicely done Jim. Good to see a painting of yours. I love the way you did the water and that large sky. Looks like you're experimenting with a more reddish palette that you use to.
A lot of new names since I took a look at this grand forum. That means it's healthy and growing. New work to enjoy. |
