| Not 100% sure if its done yet. I'm going to let this one sit for a few days and then decide. In the meantime I thought it was a good time to post for C&C. 12x16 Oil on Panel.

| Oh my goodness, is this ever sweet?! You've rendered their expressions incredibly well. If you're still open to work on it, may I make a couple of suggestions? One, I know the pink dress probably is reflecting into her sweet little face, but I think her face is too reddish. You've got the values right on, so don't change those - I would add some of the hues that are in the father (?) but maybe a little lighter to suggest her age (a softer image). Make sense? The other change is her left arm - blend in the stripes and add more highlights to the underside that is facing the main source of light. This is a beautiful painting. I also like how you did the background. |

I love this painting as it is. The little girl has blond hair so I assume her mother is white. Therefore I would not change her coloring. Background works well with the images. A very precious portrait. Good work. Kathy |

Thank you so much Kim and Kathy!
Kim- the skin tones on the little girl where bothering me a bit. What I've realized is she looks great in natural daylight and a little too saturated in artificial light. This photo was taken in artificial light. I think I might add some toned down grays to fix this but I'm not sure. I like your suggestions for the arm as well. Thank you!
Kathy- this is my youngest daughter and husband. My husband is Mexican and I'm about as white as they come. Good call on the white mom : ) |

This is just too sweet for words. There is just so-o-o-o-o much LOVE in both of their faces!! I do agree with Kim that your daughter's skin tones are just a little too pink but other than that, this is a family heirloom!
